Unique Proposal Ideas
41. WILD:
Create a mobile with the letters spelling "MARRY ME" that will hang in her bedroom or living room. Wrap each letter creatively in opaque paper. Number them from one to 1 to 7, perhaps in reverse to keep the surprise a little longer. Tell her to unwrap one letter a day, in numerical order. Be there for the final day, or every day, at the time she opens a letter.
42. OUT THERE:
Arrange for a weekend getaway at a country Bed and Breakfast. Get the owners in on it by asking them to put out rose pedals on the bed and arrange to cater a private candle lit dinner for the two of you. At dinner present her with a bouquet of her favorite flowers and the ring. You will have the whole weekend to celebrate at the B and B.
43. OUT THERE:
This one will require a little more preparation. Contact your local aquarium and arrange for a special showing at a precise time. Be sure to coordinate the date and time in advance with her schedule. Arrange ahead to have the divers hold up big signs under water with your special message: "(Her Name), Marry Me". Get her to the right tank at the right time, and be ready with a ring in your pocket.
44. MILD:
Find a splendid roof top view somewhere in your city. One that is safe, romantic and accessible. Have a friend of yours get there early and set up a dinner your prepared or have one catered and pick it up. Have your sweetheart dress up for going out on the town. Surprise her with this roof top scene instead. Pop the question with the dazzling view of the city lights around you!
45. WILD:
Create a homemade video clip/movie in which you are the star, where you propose to her. There are many ways to deliver this, so make it creative and personal. You can upload it on YouTube and send her the link. You can email it to her personal account. Or...you can play it for her by "accident" when you are looking for a Netflix movie.
46. OUT THERE:
Get a team of professionals or friends to perform on the street while the two of you are walking. While a crowd is gathering around the performers, have them invite her to participate in the next skit, and surprise her by singing and dancing to her. Be ready for the grand finale, with everyone singing "Will You Marry Me, (Her Name)?"
47. OUT THERE:
For your next vacation... When you on your way for a special weekend, taking a daylight flight to a romantic destination, tell her you have to go to the bathroom early in the flight. Talk to the flight attendants about making an announcement during the flight. When the time is right, get up again for your special announcement.
48. WILD:
Have your own jigsaw puzzle made with a picture of you and THE question. Offer to spend the evening putting the pieces together. Tease her with a special reward like her favorite dessert, if the puzzle is completed tonight.
49. MILD:
Tell her you want to have some professional pictures taken and go to a studio where you have arranged everything. Bring two different sets of clothes, one casual and the other dressy. (Make it wilder and take some sexy clothes if you like.) While in your dressy outfit or tuxedo and gown, have the photographer say out loud “something is missing” and while she is puzzled by the comment get in the position and pop her the question.
50. OUT THERE:
Here is one for the skiers. Have three friends (or connections on the ski patrol) ski down under the chair lift as you and your sweetheart go up the lift. Have each one hold a sign that says "her name", "will you", and "marry me?" Arrange for other friends to be waiting at the top of the lift to celebrate with you as you get off.

51. MILD:
If you have a large bath or jacuzzi: Prepare a bath for her and make it as romantic as possible. For instance, you can scatter rose petals over the water, have a favorite incense or scented candle burning, light the room with lots of candles of all kinds (and make sure they are all safely positioned and contained). Arrange this far in advance, by telling her you want to give her a special evening just for her, and you want to treat her like a goddess. Get in the tub with her, offer her a foot rub, wash her hair, and dote on her in every way, taking nothing for yourself for now. Then... have the ring nearby under a towel, and propose to her.
52. OUT THERE:
If your girlfriend has a favorite radio station that she listens to at work, arrange for the D.J. to read an announcement asking her to marry you. Have one of her co-workers make sure she is listening at the time. Be waiting in the wings dressed up with flowers and the ring, ready to pop out and ask the big question.
53. OUT THERE:
If you have a local cable television channel in your area, pay to run a one time advertisement. Have a friend film you expressing your Love to your girl while getting down on one knee. Casually arrange to be watching television with your sweetheart and flip to the channel at the right time. As she is watching the advertisement in shock, you can get down on your knee mimicking the television and then take it over from there!
54. OUT THERE:
If your sweetheart really loves a professional sport: Contact the stadium and see if you can have access to it for a half hour during a time it is not being used. You can tell her you want to take her somewhere special. Have a bouquet of her favorite flowers, champagne and the ring in a back pack. Get inside the stadium and enter the field or court. Go to center field and do your thing! Note, this is for women who really love sports.
55. WILD:
If your sweetheart is a big book enthusiast, go to her favorite used book store. Find a certain book that you know she has been looking for and have the book store owner put it aside for her. Send her to the book store to pick up the book. Arrive before her and put the "question" in the bag with the book. Tell her you found her book and reserved it for her. Then you come around the isle with a bouquet of her favorite flowers and offer her the ring!
56. MILD:
Create a food basket with all her favorite foods, desserts. Tell her made a special dessert you made yourself, and you can't wait to see how she likes it. At the bottom of the basket, have a photo with you in it, posing on one knee, with the ring box in your hand. Have the real ring ready when she finds the photo.
57. OUT THERE:
Here is one if your sweetheart is a fan of art. Arrange to take her to a small local art gallery. Beforehand work it out with the curator to replace some of the pieces with art that is actually photos of you and her, modified in photoshop to look like canvas art. One canvas says "her name" and "will you marry me". If you are artistic, draw or paint the proposal as creatively as possible. You could also get an artist friend to do something for you instead. As she is reading it, get down on one knee and offer her the ring.
58. WILD:
If you and your girlfriend are scuba divers, plan a trip to one of your favorite dives. Buy a fancy little stone or wooden jewelry box and have it safely hidden in your wet suit. When you are down exploring, pretend to find it in the sand or corral. Make sure she sees you. Hand it to her to investigate. Write "will you marry me" in the sand.
59. MILD:
If your sweetheart is a gardener, you can place the ring inside an ornate box with a note saying "will you marry me". Hide the box in the earth where you know your special lady will be digging that day. Be ready to step forward when she finds it and make your proposal.
60. MILD:
Have a trail of flowers leading her to a special altar you created specifically for the occasion. Collect and arrange some of her precious photos of both of you, add flowers, her favorite candle or incense, crystals, feathers, and other items she treasures, preferably new ones you found for the occasion. Add a picture frame in the middle with a beautiful scarf covering it. In the frame, print your message: "Will You Marry Me?"
